PAKISTANI GROCERY

In Aksaray there's a Pakistani Grocery that has such 'hard to find' spices like: black cardamom, Indian bay leaves, black salt etc. On their shelves you will also find urad dal and very good chickpea flour, known as besan. There's a lot of packet spices, if you don't want to mix your own, and Chaat masala which, you can make yourself, but sometimes it's just easier to pick up the ready made one. They do deliver, they tell me. Their location is tucked down a small road and it's easy not to see the small shop that's a 5 minute walk from the Aksaray tram station and a 2 minute walk from Aksaray metro. Just around the corner from the grocery is a Pakistani eatery. I haven't tried it, but it looks good. The guys in the shop tell me that the eatery use the packet spices they supply - so if you are hoping for real home-made food, then you will have to come to me for that, I'm afraid. https://www.facebook.com/PakistanigroceryIstanbul
